Build Strong Networks: FluentCRM for WordPress
Build Strong Networks: FluentCRM for WordPress
WordPress. We talked about this in the last video, we talked about setting up your own WordPress. But I want to be more specific in this one. First of all, from a literal perspective, you know, legally it’s our role to teach you how to network with socialist organizations. We’re literally helping you build these tools that you control on your own server so that you, if you choose, can be independent, create your own branch in the future. Everybody knows what the tools are, how to use them, yada yada yada, why do that? Why not like you’ve got your own goals, pursue them.
Don’t let me be in the way. Self benefits, self hosting, you’re going to host this stuff yourself. You can either host on your own computer, you can rent space on a server. This is not back breaking or expensive. Pay three or four dollars per month, it’s not a lot. And this lets you customize your website, which is really flexible, which is great. That means your own tools for events and donations and more.
Control your own data, protect your own privacy. Part one of this is going to be WordPress. And installing WordPress is very easy. There are affordable options. If you go to bluehost siteground hostinger, there are dozens of these services and let me tell you something, they are all the same. They have affiliate programs and stuff like that, but it doesn’t really matter which one you use. Get an account somewhere, log in.
They all have one click. Installation tools. So you’ll be able to type in your own domain name, your own admin credentials, your own domain idea. This might take you an evening and once you’ve done it, you’re going to install fluentcrm. Fluentcrm, the free version has a few fewer features than the pro version, but they’re not really worth talking about unless you’re very technically inclined. This is gonna give you everything that you need to get started and understand what the tools that you’re using are, which is great. And again, there are so many benefits.
This is gonna be less expensive, you’re gonna have more control over your data. You’re, you can add your own plugins for events or donations or community building or you name it. So hey, take those next steps, start building your own infrastructure. That’s all I’ve got to say about WordPress. I wanted to have an extra video here talking about it just so that you got a little more comfortable with it. But realistically, just go to YouTube and type in, install WordPress and pick one from the last couple of months because honestly like website installations change all the time. So if I go in here and record one for you, it’ll just be outdated in, like, three months anyway, so it’s not really useful.
But I can just encourage you. Just go to YouTube and set this up. It’s super easy. And you’ll. You definitely won’t look back with regret.
